@SFUVan Profile: Kate Rossiter

Sometimes SFU Vancouver can seem like a bit of a mystery. Housing a variety of centres, research projects and more, it’s not uncommon to be unaware of all of the great things happening in the offices of our buildings.

Kate Rossiter, Associate Director at the FREDA Centre represents one of the great things happening at Harbour Centre that not many people know about.

As part of an alliance of research centres across Canada with a focus on violence, FREDA focuses on violence against children and women.  With a group of three people working out of their offices, along with various work-study students, FREDA has a focus on research and policy housed within SFU’s School of Criminology.
